Mr. Quarles, currently a Managing Director at the Carlyle Group in Washington DC, was Under Secretary of the Treasury for Domestic Finance under President George W. Bush. While at the Treasury, Mr. Quarles played a central role in responding to several international debt crises - the Argentine debt default, as well as near defaults in Brazil, Turkey, and Uruguay. We are excited to welcome him back to speak about his experiences, especially given the current debt crisis in the EU.

After graduating YLS in 2008, Wally joined the Treasury where he worked closely with Secretary Tim Geithner during the financial crisis. This will be Wally's first visit back to YLS, and we hope to see many of you there!

Mr. Collins is the CEO of Ripplewood Holdings and a Director of Citigroup. Ripplewood has more than $10 billion in assets under management and has invested in nearly a dozen different industry groups in companies with more than $20 billion of revenue.
